Keeping Your Number
Yes! Keeping your mobile number when you start a new mobile contract is simple. Just request a PAC from your current network provider and enter the code in the checkout when you purchase your new contract, and your number will be transferred to your new provider on your new contract.
A PAC – or a Porting Authorisation Code – is a unique code that allows you to take your old mobile number with you to a new mobile contract. To request a PAC, text ‘PAC’ to 65075 and your code will be sent to you. You can also request a PAC by calling your current network provider, or accessing it through your online account with your current network. If you have any further questions, contact your current network provider to speak to a customer service advise.
Yes! Transferring your Pay As You Go number to a different network is simple. You will need to contact your current network to get a PAC, then – once you’ve received your new phone – provide your PAC to your new network and they will transfer your number for you.
If you want to change mobile provider and cancel your current service without keeping your existing mobile number, the process is simple. Just request a STAC, enter the code in the checkout when you purchase your new contract, and when you switch your number will be terminated for you.
A STAC – or a Service Termination Authorisation Code – is a unique code that enables you to end your old service when moving to a new network. Ending your old service using a STAC will terminate your mobile number. To request a STAC, text ‘STAC’ to 75075 and your code will be sent to you. You can also request a STAC by calling your current network provider or through your online account with your current network. Please Note: When you cancel your account, your mobile number will terminate and you will not be able to get this mobile number back. If you want to keep your mobile number, please follow the PAC process.
Input your PAC or STAC when prompted to in the checkout, and your number will either be transferred (if a PAC is used) or terminated (if a STAC is used) for you.
Once you have received your PAC or STAC, the code will be valid for 30 days. If your PAC or STAC is not used within this time, your service will not be switched or ended and you will continue to be billed as per your current contract. If you take a new contract with your new provider and you do not use your PAC code you will continue to be billed by your current and your new provider simultaneously.
